Promotion of Today

Just me

I run into an interesting video clip on TikTok with a train in a tunnel that catched my eye. The music chosen for it catched me too.

https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMY2FM9nW/

When after several experiences of this kind plus the fact the guy look a bit like Peter Speiß, a synth musican I know, made me explore this account.  After they liked one of my personal videos from my life.

https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMY2FMouE/

The research lead me into a mystery labyrinth. Who was this guy.

Finally ended my research with its bandcamp for Synthax Xtructure.

https://synthaxxtructure.bandcamp.com/album/dont-look-back

The fascinating thing is that in the TikTok there is a guy spilling his feelings for his love by videos and other musicians music.

Then when finally reach them I discover all their music is on this subject.

It is catchy even I do not prefer the disco dunk by synth but the lyrics are totally spider webby. So I find myself listening through all of their albums.

It makes you feel adored as you get reminded of being this by your old experiences.

Fascinating marketing idea. I must say.

Always enjoyed house music at cafes of Berlin and Lowkeydoom666 on Twitch gets me hooked by her magic sampling dj:eing. She is not blip blop girly. She is brutal.

So then there is Shok and then Wade Wright - also cool samplers. (And musicians.)

And all them synths in groups of VNV Nation and else.

In The Colonnades had Olle Borg. (I was at this gig in this YouTube clip btw.)

Sparks synth guy mezmerized me when a teen.

And there is rXg Romain Gros Fractales12. What he does with synth and real instruments is extensional. But that is another story. What he has in common with Synthax Xtructure is that Fractales12 lyrics are amazing. Still Fractales12 lyrics are more art work then Synthax Xtructure. They are mysterious labyrinths over love, the world, existance and all below and above.

Music is a force.

What brings me to ease though is the DJ Mark Splatter. I can live in his crates forever. Spend hours there within without getting bored. Deathrock, postpunk, goth and all with exceptional lyrics he choosed. Totally clear my mind and make me feel what I fear to feel inside. Put music to my inner as paintings of this mystery of how to express the pain life is sometimes and yet still its a beautiful place to be. This world. This Chaoz. That we call Life. And him you find on Twitch. And Mixcloud. And SoundCloud.

Mark Splatter has got no part in the synth thing of this blog though. It is not about that. The blog turned into what music I feel calm within when Fractales12 came to my mind.

Fields of Nephilim

Last time I saw  Fields of The Nephilim was in London, at Shephards Bush 2008. Audience was with long rocks in leather and black hairs of old goths, the feeling almost ceremonial in the surrounding, everyone excited in serious mode. It was like a grand meeting of Nephilims all through.

This time it is in Stockholm, at Debaser Medis 2013.
Audience of Stockholm is the toughest crowd any artist could go up to. They linger in reptile mode, very closed, watching between halfclosed eyes of soul and mind, awaiting. There is no cheering as at a football game or a festival, if they love you they do. If they don't they say nothing. Some old goths are around, many actually, there is also some strange party crowd. They even clap hands to get the thing going during the concert, which is met with cold stare from the "real nephilim audience".

Organizer obviously has no clue of what they have booked. And a sunday night is worst eve of the week. Mostly everyone is hang overed. Of the club ppl anyway.

Expectations is high among the huge Fields of Nephilim fans, you can almost touch the feeling in the air.

Carl McCoy does his ordinary check up of the audience by wandering around a bit amongst us right before the concert, but as usual not many realizes it is really him.

Stage gets smoked down, lights shine bright upon the redish of the banderools that looks like cut out of wood. It is very beatiyful. Carl starts of by giving us some tunes of the new material. He stand with hands crossed over the microphone, bowed as if gathering energy before the music starts, and then there off we go. Feeling is confusion.

The sound is not the best, the teqnician or the equipments needs to get kiked.

Fields of The Nephilim, Stockholm 2013. Photo: NineIZ
For every tune Carl seems more and more irritated. He gets no contact with the audience. Not the way he needs. He seems to sigh and then gives us some old tunes and the audience responses immediately which gives him little bit of new hope maybe.

At the end of the concert he chants and it levitates, he pours out his own energies towards us and at least me is giving back what can be given. It is the feeling of  lifting from the ground on the inside. After he say thanks.

Every new material tune is starting off with little bells clinging as in a ceremony and McCoy clenching at the microphone stative gathering energie. It is as if we hear two concerts same concert. Very distinct what is from new material and what is not.

Tunes are like spring water from mountains rather then the dark flood from the sky am used to with them.

I get the feeling of to be somewhere after a funeral.

Don't know what he's been through lately, but it is as if he went back from the desert to see us again.

When he finish off I am not sure if this is AFTER or not.
Will he still be there. Will he leave. For ever.

The real thing happends after the concert for me.

The next days am been given signs of different kinds accompanied by the memory of Fields of Nephilim tunes inside me and it feels as if am in a chanted athmosphere given by Carl to me.
It's almost as if a gift is being received.

Whatever ceremony he did put us through it worked, that is for sure.

Today I keep hearing Last exit for the lost inside me and just had to write this review.

The Shamen Nostalgia

Will Sinnott dead may 1991 may he rest in peace I called him Chris

In the end of the 80´s there were a club called Electric Garden in Stockholm. A project by Harry Byrne where he let new bands play before they got well known. The set with The Shamen was very cool. At one point they had this lovely blue ligth as if a fire was set and I got the vision of a camp fire. I try ask them about this stage set moment after the gig. I was trying to find out if this feeling of sad missing was visualized by the blue light, as blue stands for the feeling of missing.

Never got any answer. As soon as discover I was really a journalist and no groupie they sent me off to the manager Michael instead.
After the gig Chris asked me if I would come to their after party, and the girl "from the year before, as Chris said when I asked him about her" told me there were no after party actually.
Ah whatever, it was sure not.
Anyway, M stayed at my place for couple of days and next night Chris called and told they had nowhere to sleep, since they only got money for one night at hotel. I offered the band to sleep in my flat and that made M to call Harry Byrne that was kind enough to put them up at his home instead.
Ancient times.
Strange thing was, when I heard one of them was dead I was sure it was Chris. And it was. Strange meetings. Not so much interaction, still connection somewhere established. Life.
Don´t know why I call him Chris. His name was Will Sinnott. He died when they made this video you saw in the beginning of this post. Sad. Indeed.

Still think Blue as a Colour is about missing for them. Since the cover of this album En-Tact, that is a kind of tribut to Will Sin as he also was called, is blue. One day I will ask, if Angus stay alive for me to be able to do so, if he answers...is another question.

Am still curious of that moment in the stage performance from back then, the first time I experienced them at Electric Garden.

I can´t find the version of The Shamen´s You Make Me Feel that was never promoted. The EP Will Syn decided to release for promo use. Right before he died. So I put up another version, by ARCHIVE that is another band I truly like a lot. Even I believe their Fuck U song is their absolute best.

Electric Garden was a kind of orangeri made of  music. The Shamen was one of  the nice treats I just stumbled upon by accident within it´s wilderness. The meeting with Chris lived in my mind for so long. As the curiosity for the purpose of  that blue light. Shamanism is special.

Well, they made Boss Drum laters and songs like this

The song is not exactly my cup of tea when it comes to music, the video is kind of cool anyway.

Another interesting thing they did was the S2 Translation. Music based on human DNA.

Still, for me they are what they were in Electric Garden. A mixture of the music from Drop album and In Gorbachev we trust.

Debaser - Mass Murder Agenda - Fear of Domination - Grande

Mass Murder Agenda Live på rockklubben Debaser Slussen Stockholm 3 oktober 2012. Foto: NineIZ

Well, went to a gig with Mass Murder Agenda again. They were hard and visual as expected. Very cool Live Act they are. The Finish band Fear Of Domination did their first gig ever in Sweden this night. A Swedish band called Grande opened for these bands.
One of their fans got thrown out and went so sad that he took a silverish tube for trash can and put over his head and loomed away. Too bad. He was the only genuine punk rocker kid I saw this evening. He missed the head liners. And the club missed an interesting decor person for this evening.

Chaoz Sex and Corruption

Installation by Anniz

Installation by Anniz

"not so unexpected we found NineIZ totally alone softly humming Lilla Flickan Zombie by iodine Jupiter"

In Sweden we have a poet and musician, named iodine Jupiter, that analyzes our world with brutal teqnicue. And with humour. He reaches out, and inside of the readers, by touching the most private zones. Sometimes the magic sphere, sometimes the religious, and this time the sexual. All is everytime within, since This Is Human. Still, this time he is totally smashing everything with brutality.

In his last book, Fuck Around The Clock, he penetrated the idea of Sweden getting ass fucked by USA. In this new book Obscen Sanning (Obscene Truth),  he shows us how we ass fucks ourselfs in our society.

Naaa, let me rephrase.

He show us how Society Is of Today.

The first book he ever published, in the 1980's, was Kommersialismens Manifest (The Manifesto of The Commercialism). Obscen Sanning really concludes the view. The consequences of commercialism.
Its a fantastique picture of what commersialism does to the world.

Brilliantly he even explains the Motorcycle gangs. The heroine in this book, Harley Jane Davidson,  is a used up little slave to society that finally takes the machine gun into her own hands and use the abusers own weapons against them.
She uses SEX and Brutality. That's her machine gun. Sex in the concept of weapon to make another part submess. And the males loves it.

iodine Jupiter also makes us think a bit about the phedophilia debate.

We had a strange court act taking place in Sweden this year. An artist got his drawings of manga accused of being violenting the forbidness of use of children in porn. Very abstract, Very surrealistic.
iodine Jupiter brings up the idea that the accusers maybe tells a lot of their own hidden desires.

Not by mentioning this court act, he doesn't mention this at all. But what he writes in his book just made me think of this. Especially the part about journalists.

This whole book is filled with lots of pictures that gives you reason to think. The business man, strict person, that crawls into a pile of dog shit naked in the park and then dresses up again and continue his walk to work, Little Abused boy who thinks he loves it in the end... and a whole bunch of aphorisms that makes me burst out in loud laughing while am reading...

Well, in short words, am sorry for you folks that doesnt understand Swedish. He is well worth reading this author. He makes you think. And he makes you laugh. And he makes you sad. And he surely rumbles the Swedish so they go totally numb before him.

My friend Anniz made that art installation above. It sort of tells the story. To be with iodine Jupiter is to be alone. Since he is scary. Tells the truth in a way people dont know where to laugh or where to be upset. He makes everyone uncomfortable.

I am not alone though.
We are lots of followers that admires his work. That endures in his wings of darkness. Is it magick or is it his social analyzes, doesnt matter. He is special. Thats all. And he got something to say. And he touches. The inner of you.
Even if he made a very brutal book this time, that made me chooke in so many places. And even I prefer the romantic soft brutality as in Little Girl Zombie. Which is dark in a way any goth understands.

Well, I don't like to discuss economy and the fact we are all slaves. That is a truth I rather hide under a pile of leaves than confronts. But thats me.

Obscen Sanning is a social analyze written in serious dark humour and giving angst. Its kind of awesome.
Too bad you wont be able to participate in reading it. He refuses to write in English. So far.
Am awaiting the literal world of Sweden's reactions. So far, not so much happend. It was released the 6th of september. They might be to stressed out by working their asses off to even react. Or they might kill it with silence and then, bom, we get them copy cats writing their own story based on this idea.
It will be thrilling to follow this event.

mitt i all samhällskritik

Cover of the book Obscen Sanning

OBSCEN SANNING av iodine Jupiter /OBSCENE TRUTH by iodine Jupiter (swedish edition)

Otroligt sjukt.

For a Change

For a Change

In Netherlands lives an artist I call rXg. His name is Romain Gros and this is from his project Fractales12.
I followed him now for nearly 5 or 6 years. He allows me to listen his music as he creates it and tells me lots of interesting things. It's a journey I wouldn't wish to been without. He is magical.
